A magnificent antique sterling silver and yellow guilloche enamelled handbag compact of top quality of manufacture, of Art Deco period,and fully hallmarked with the London import mark, the stamp 925for the sterling standard guarantee, and the date letter 'm' for the year 1927. Maker's mark: Gy&Co for Grey & Co.

It is enamelled in guilloche with the most elegant and stunning yellow on the cover, side of cover and side of body, the undersidewith engine turned pattern.The enamel work is in outstanding condition but for 2 very tiny spots of wear to the rim of the cover. There are no dents, repairs, splits or other damage of any kind. The original inner mirror is clear and unmarked.
