A fine enamel dial with Roman numeral chapter ring with an outer ring of Arabic Numerals and steel Moon hands.

A fully working 8 daymovement striking the hours and half hoursand repeating at will on a coiled blued steel gong.Stamped 2766 to the back plate, there are additional numbers stamped to the rear of the front plate and a further stamp of two letters which I cannot quite identify.

The gong block is stamped MV.

A later platform escapement.

All of the bevelledglass appears to be original and in excellent condition.

This clock is of a nice size standing 19cms over the handle, 10cms wide and 9cms deep.
