A Victorian Rosewood Sewing box

This box is veneered in the decorative rosewood,

that has been embelished with the decorative mother of pearl inlay,

the sides have a pair of brass carring handles

the box sits on four reeded feet andhas a sarcophagus form,

the top opens to reveal a paper lined interior

with a partitioned drop in tray ,

when removed reveals the original silver paper lining .

the escutcheon is not original

This box is in good condition with a lovely finish .
