The three stacking sewing boxes for Choson period’s women are formed withan all papier marche

painted in colorful geometric design and applied cut-paper design was anothercharacteristic Choson period’s

decorative technique. It has papers withpredominant bright red, yellow, green and purple color

but faded in its age and use, theboxes’ paper surface is protected by an oil finish.

It is in fine condition with minor damagesassociated with age and use.

Measurements: 11.7cm H x 28cm W x 45.3cm L., 10.6cm x23cm x 41.3cm,

and 9.8cm x 20.3cm x 37.2cm approximately. (large to small)
