Turkish, Ottoman Islamic metalwork, (Ibrik) -dating from the late 19th century.
A large hand constructed copper ewer of baluster form - resting an applied and enclosed broad circular foot. Images 7 & 8, detail the skilfully crimped, brazed and burnished constructional seams.
A scrolling spout rises from the shoulder, terminating with a brass embellishment. Of waisted form, the neck rises to a pair of narrow balusters. The scrolling handle is riveted in position and incorporates the cover hinge fulcrum. The hinged cover is located by a tapering collet, creating a flush appearance on closure. The ornately pierced cover is mounted with a teardrop knop.
Overall height - 19 1/4\" (480mm).

Condition - Very Good, (untouched). Wear consistent with genuine age and usage. No dents, no cracks and no repairs. Fine natural colour and patina.
