A Large Korean Incised Decorated Stoneware Jar-4th-6thC.:
Korea, Old Sillaperiod, 4th-6th century,
A stoneware with natural ash glaze and incised comb patterns on
the neck between two double circle rings, its typical blackish grey color was
produced in a reduction atmosphere. Some parts are covered with a light
ash glaze in and out, and the open works to the lower body.
It has a chip on the base (seephotos) and a hairline crack on the mouth rim,
otherwise it’sin fine condition. Measures: 14.5 “ h x 11 25” d. (37 cm x 28.5 cm).
