CONDITION: IT’S IN SUPERB CONDITION THROUGHOUT

THIS IS A EDWARDIAN ANTIQUE LOCKET OF NEAT SIZE, IDEAL TO WEAR EACH AND EVERY DAY AND / OR SPECIAL ENOUGH TO KEEP JUST FOR THOSE CHERISHED OCCASIONS. AN ‘EYE CATCHING’ ITEM OF ANTIQUE JEWELLERY (See 5 Pence in inset picture for size comparisons).

This round locket has convex central area, this has a pretty pictorial of a swallow flying amidst the flowers. This locket has pretty foliate patterned edges. The locket has a gold top holding ring with an inner diameter of 4.8 mm. The reverse side is the same format except slightly different design, at the top are the gold marks for \'9CT GOLD BACK & FRONT\'.

This locket is a lovely mellow rose gold typical of 9ct jewellery from this period, circa 1890-1914. We have carefully ‘check tested’ the piece and confirm it is \'9ct Gold Back & Front\' category.

(9ct Back & Front is a locket category where the front and back panels are of solid 9ct gold, and check tested here, the internal frame and inner rims are not gold. This method of construction was used primarily to achieve greater strength and durability of the locket).

Yes, this locket is in excellent condition, no dints, indents, bumps or scratches, indeed no blemishes at all. CRISP ENGRAVING with a lovely polished finish throughout.
