A Pair of Large and Fine Famille Rose Painted Jars/Lids-19th C.:
China, 19th century, the estate of Marjorie A. Balwin, Atlanta, Georgia.
They are quite large cylindrical shaped jars with covers painted with figural landscape designs
on the surfaces and covers, set on flat rim foot, applied overall with a pale blue tinged white glaze,
the main bodies painted with a gathering people in a court, and the covers painted with
boys playing in a guarden painted in polychrome enamels.
They are in very good condition overall.
Measurements: 7” h. x 5.75” each (18cm h. x 14.5cm)
