A Pair of Fine Rare and Fine Brass Candle Sticks (Holders)-19th C.:
Korea, late Joseon period, 19th century.
These pair of brass candle sticks are of slender elegant designs in asymmetrical H-shapes,
and are composed of three parts; light reflecting mirror with incised peonies, attached three
bats each panel and Shu (longevity) on the center, a chain attached snuffer, candle holder with incised base
and its supporting slender post with a large base pan incised with floral peony branches.
It is in very find condition without any missing part except a small part of a bat’s wing off (please see #3).
It measures approximately 65.5cm H. x 21.6cm D. (25.75” h. x 8 ½”) of the base pan.
