Here are a pair of vintage original 1930\'s Shell Wall Lights in clear (ie non-coloured) glass and chrome, complete with working light pulls not often seen on those advertised on . The chrome is in superb condition as is the glass which is free of chips and cracks; all in all a beautiful pair of vintage lights. As is often the case, the bulb holders are missing but these can be obtained from the usual DIY venues. They are 10 inches wide and 8 inches deep.They weigh in excess of 2Kg and Royal Mail charge £14.75 for 2nd class signed for delivery (covers buyer and seller for loss). Sorry but I cannot find a cheaper option so far but perhaps sending them individually would cost less? They will be very carefully packed with bubblewrap and beans at no extra cost, even though I have to pay for them. Please see the answer to a question which has been posed below: We believe the following bulb holder could be simply modified to fit the 10mm mounting slot on the back plate of these lights: Item Code: 201047 from www.peterwilletts.co.uk. The modification would require cutting off the flex part of the metal mounting to leave only the metal flange at the base of the lamp-holder. As we have not tried this ourselves we don’t know if the flange would need any further tapering to fit the slot but feel this job would not be difficult for someone with basic DIY skills. The website also lists several other similar fittings, though most have longer metal mounts which would need to be cut shorter, e.g. Item Code 201016. An adjustable mounting version where the unwanted flex aperture can be simply unscrewed is available under Ref: LHblackP13: 10xadj-SES from www.lampsandlights.co.uk. Some further modification of the remaining two pronged mounting flange may also be needed. Obviously if the original fittings were present they would not meet modern electrical regulations.
