A RARE TIBETAN LAMELLAR ARMOUR, 17TH/19TH CENTURY
formed of eighteen rows of rectangular russet iron plates, each pierced with a series of holes and retained by leather thongs, open at the front, vented at the back from the twelfth row downwards, a pair of short arms (a number of plates loose, small losses) and the principle border reinforced with leather

The unconventional formation of the leather thongs would suggest that this has been adapted for pageant use. For other examples of this type of armour see Larocca 2006, pp. 54-61.Overall Lenght 130 * 100 cm. Medium condition. Very low starting price.
Warning ! As this armor is very heavy, shipping fees is high.
