style=\"text-decoration:none\" height=\"23px\" valign=\"middle\" face=\"arial\" sale today we have this Outstanding Arts and Crafts \"Bird of Peace\" Brass Charger by John Pearson (Guild of Handicrafts/ Newlyn School). John Pearson chargers are usually made from Copper, although he did occasionally work in brass, making this piece rare indeed.
The heavy gauge planished Brass isbeautifully decorated with a central panel of 3 Doves (birds of Peace) within a clouded sky and an outer rim of larger circling birds of prey in profile within stylised decoration. All hand wrought, all truly delightful! Measures 31 cm dia. Fully signed J Pearson in flowing script, the date 1893 and model No 2030 in an oval.
Presented to the market in excellent antique condition with only minor age wear to report. Displays beautifully! A rare chance to purchase a fine piece from one of the most sought after and collectiblenames from the Arts and Crafts era.
