A Anglo Indian Mysore Carved Box

This Anglo Indian box is constructed from solid sandal wood

the box has a rectangular form

the top sides front and back are profusely and finely carved,

the carving has a floral entwined design with birds animals and deitie,

the top opens to reveal a sandal wood interior

this fine carving came from Mysore

this box was made in the late nineteenth or early 20th Century

there are cracks to the base of the box

The box is in good condition with a lovely finish

30.5cm x 12.8cm x 8cm.

This box does not have a key

age due to the age some would have had restoration.
