A Superb Set of Solid Silver George 111 Hanoverian, \"Old English\" Pattern DessertSpoons by P. W. Bateman, Assay Hallmarked, London 1809. (Sold as a set, notseparately)
A lovely set of three dessertspoons by the renowned makers Peter & William Bateman, with a scrolledmonogram to the top of the terminal, the letters\"REG\" the spoons do show some signs of wear for their 208 years of age and usage, mainly to the bowls, also some very small ripples and dints but in excellent condition overall, considering their age.
They would still make a great collectors set, or even as a special present. they are 5-1/2\" in length, and weigh collectively: 56.9 grams.
This is a fixed priced sale, so no stressful, finger biting sales to go through, just a simple no hassle purchase.
PS Silver is very difficult tophotograph because it\'s reflection picks up the photographer, hence any tinging. Also, these items are not new, most are over 100 years old, some 200 and over, so will have some defects, unless they had a charmed life.
