A VERY RARE DECORATED EARLY 18TH CENTURY NEW ENGLAND WROUGHT IRON DEEP BOWL SKIMMER, CIRCA 1740-1760 IN OLD SURFACE AND PATINA.

It has a nice shaped acorn type top and a wonderful shaped handle.

It has Very elaborate and wonderful early engraved decoration on the flat handle and extraordinary tight twisted decoration near the end of the shaft where it attaches to the bowl.

DECORATED 18TH CENTURY AMERICAN IRON IS EXTREMELY RARE AND SOUGHT AFTER.

Rare form, great tool marks and wonderful shaped handle.
