Korea, Joseondynasty, 19th century, removed from the frame.
Painted in a very colorful natural mineral pigment polychromes on the
thick linen with the seated General Kwan woo (관성제군도), who was aChinese general
from the Three Kingdon period, was later consectrated as a Shamanist Deity,
he protects people from desease, inscribed King Sejong the Great (世宗大王:1397-1450).
and 龍王大神 on the back paper mounting, now unframed with a paper mounting back.It’s infine condition but some light water stains on the front and thick water stainson the
backpaper mounting, it measures 80cmx 50cm (31.5” x 19.75”).
