A large heavy silver pair cased verge pocketwatch c1838. The unsigned movement looks in good order with a swinging balance, connected chain and a good mainspring but will not hold power when wound so will require some adjustment. The dial is in good condition but has 2 light hairlines (see photos) and the original hands are fitted. The heavy silver cases have good hinges and closures and bear matching London hallmarks for 1838. This is a substantial watch measuring approx 57mm across and weighing almost 147g. Will be a nice collectable piece when restored. Sold un-serviced and therefore without guarantee. Please see all pictures for further information on condition.
