On offer is a pair of rare and very fine Chinese 19th century iron red dishes decorated both in the front and reverse with bats, surrounding a stylised Chinese character \"Shou\" (long life) in iron red and gold. They are measured at 18 cm in diameter and dated to the Tongzhi period with six character hall marks to the base. The mark reads 多福多寿堂制 (Made by the hall of eminence fortune and longevity). The condition is almost perfect with minor rim chips and frittings. Both plates are slightly warped as shown. Further, there are no additional cracks, chips or restorations.Guaranteed genuine and offered with .
