A stunning and rare 19th century (circa 1900) American twin arm Brass Table lamp.
Originally gas but now converted to electricity.
Beautifully crafted the lamp sits on three lions paw feet.
Around the base on each of the three sides is a fabulous styalised and detailed winged Saint Michael with spears in each hand casting out two dragons.
The main pole is decorated with acanthus leaves and then moves up into a barley twist that ends in a brass sphere off which the two arms branch again from acanthus leaves.
Each arm of the Lamp ends in a lovely fluted glass shade.( Made in Austria)
The lamp is toped with a graduated brass finial.
