A wonderful oil on canvas of a young child \"Leslie Forbes Sherar\"
by renowned painter and listed artist Robert Forbes Sherar RSA

This is of his daughter and It States on the stretcher in ink that it is Leslie Forbes Sherar 2 years of age Monogrammed RFS.
Beautifully painted you can feel the love and tenderness coming from the canvas.
Signed and dated 1891 lower left.
Presented in its original frame. It measures 64cm x 48cm inclusive of the frame.Robert Forbes Sherar (or Robert Forbes Shearer as he latterly spelt his name) was an Architect, Painter and Photographer. 1862 - 1943
He initially practiced primarily as a landscape and portrait painter in both watercolour and oil, exhibiting at the Royal Scottish Academy between 1885 and 1903. He also lectured to the Edinburgh Photographic society on the use of perspective.
