Here is a fantastic historical item, a genuine piece of mourning ribbon used during the burial services in Springfield, Illinois in 1865for President Abraham Lincoln! The ribbon came from the estate of H.W. Fay, custodian of Lincoln\'s tomb in Springfield.The ribbon measures 1/2 inch wide by an inch and 1/8long, the display page is 8 1/2 x 11 inches!It was purchased at the 1993 sale held by Lowell S. Newman & Co. Galleries. There is a stain the lower left hand corner, an inch and a half at its widest points top and bottom edges.Pictures include front and back of the display and the sale lot list from Lowell S.
