ADORABLE OLD VINTAGE GERMAN PAPER MACHE COMPOSITION FROG CANDY CONTAINER I was recently commissioned to liquidate a large collection of vintage candy containers from the late 19th century to the 1950’s. There are various examples in multiple materials so check in over the next few weeks to see what will be available from this private collection.
This charming vintage German candy container is made from papier mache and composition. It stands 2 1/2” tall x 3” wide x 4 1/2” long and has a polychromed exterior. It has loss at it’s feet and the surface shows paint loss especially on the back. It has only one of it’s original glass eyes. It has been displayed uncovered and does have some surface dust. I have included multiple pictures so you can see the container’s condition.
