ADORABLE VINTAGE 1950s DRESS HAT SLIP PANTIES 4 LRG 30in 4 PLAY PAL TYPE DOLL :

For BIN-an adorable outfit for a 30 inch tall Play Pal type doll. The dress is from the 1950s. It is green cotton with a pink, green and white flower print.the bodice front and back and short puffy sleeves are white embroidered eyelet with an organdy ruffle trimming. There are 3 mother of pearl buttons in the back but they are for design. The dress closes with snaps. The dress was probably made for a little girl. I found it at an small country estate sale in Oley, PA in a box with another little girls dress. the dress has long ties that will make a pretty bow in the back at the waist.
the hat is white straw with green grosgrain ribbon trim and white fabric roses across the front. The hat has never been used and still has the original price tag. It reads Lobels, a store that no longer exists, and the price $1.98. See pic. The hat is really nice.
The slip and panties are cotton with a ruffle of airy cotton scalloped net lace trim with a floral motif. All items are in very good condition.No damage to the fabrics and no fading of colors. I put this outfit together and it looks really nice. all items are vintage. the dress and hat are true 195s. The panties and slip are a little newer but not new. Probably 1960s. they have no issues. the only problem I could find is a small spot on the grosgrain ribbon that trails down the dolls back. I did not try to remove it.
this out fit would be wonderful on a 30 inch Play Pal type doll since it is a true 195s vintage outfit and really sweet. The doll in the photos is not part of the sale. She is just a model. The dress will fit a doll a little sider than the one in the pics but I would not go taller.
Dress measures 17 inches long from the shoulder seam to the hem edge. It is 10 inches across the waist laying flat. It is 8.5 inches across the top measures from the sleeve seam left to right. the dress ties in the back so the waist can be a little smaller than the measurements. the doll wearing the dress has a waist only 10 inches around. You can go a good bit larger. The dolls head in the pic is 18 inches in diameter and the hat fits her perfectly. The underwear have elastic at the waist will stretch so you can also go over a 10 inch around waistI buy all by items fromsales, yard sales and flea markets. I live about 30 milesnorth of Philadelphia, PA. I honestly do not know if the original owners had dogs or cats or if they smoked cigarettes. I do not always notice the smell from cig smoke because I am around antiques and vintage items about half of my life. I do not smell any smoke or see pet hairs on the clothes but I can not say you will not. Please do not buy this unless you are willing to have it cleaned if you should smell smoke or are sensitive to pet hairs. Being sold as is, vintage doll clothing lot in very good condition.
