THIS IS A WONDERFUL STERLING SILVER AMERICAN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT FIGURAL BABY RATTLE MADE BY GEORGE SHIEBLER AROUND 1885. THE BODY OF THE PIECE IS FORMED AS THE MAN ON THE MOON WITH THE FACE ON ONE SIDE AND CLOUDS WITH AN APPLIED BAT ON THE OTHER SIDE. OVERALL, THIS PIECE IS GOOD CONDITION, BUT DOES SHOW SEVERAL SIGNS OF BEING LOVED BY A CHILD. IT MEASURES 5\" LONG AND IT HAS A NICE WEIGHT AS YOU WOULD EXPECT WITH A SHIEBLER PIECE.
