We are happy to offer a Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute manufactured in 1966 and powered by the cool andreliable Venus 178 manual movement. This watch is in greatworking conditions and retains all its original components. It has never been polished or had the dial altered or serviced. These watches were developed specifically for pilots, the word Navitimer is a combination of \"Navigation\" and \"Timer\".
Little do peopleknow that the Navitimer-Cosmonaute was the firstmechanical watch to go to space on the wrist ofastronaut Scott Carpenter. Its 24 hour dial was perfect for NASA\'s upcoming space programs but due to itsrotating bezel (made it look unfit for the stress of thecontinuousspaceprograms) it never stood a chance against the Speedmaster.
