Here we havea stunningantique Gorham rococo sterling silver centerpiece.Amazing design and workmanship featuring wonderful, deeprepoussedand chased flowers and floral motifs, accented by a heavyscrolled border. The upper bowl supported by afantastic base decorated with designs similar to the upper portion and sporting 4 chunky acanthus decoratedscrolled feet.Made of extra heavy gauge silver and weighs 2lbs! Excellent condition with warm, mellow patina and dated 1873! No chips, cracks or repairs. Measures 12-1/4\" in diameterx 4\"tall. A tour de force of the silversmiths art.
