Up for sale with is the most Incredible Victorian Period Continental Solid Silver Centerpiece Bowl. The Bowl is of the finest quality I have ever seen with superb Repousse Cherub type Children in a scenic design to the center and Fruits and Nuts all around the upturned rim. The Repousse designs are just incredible, the Children's Head plus the Fruits and Nuts all literally pop off the surface, being so much more impressive in real life. I am calling it a Centerpiece Bowl but I honestly think it was made as a cabinet piece just to be admired as a piece of art, the quality is so good. The Bowl is also of a very large size measuring 11" across the top and sitting 1-1/4" tall at the raised rim. The Bowl weighs an impressive 395 grams being nice Thick Solid 800 Grade (80% Pure) Silver throughout. The Bowl is also in really amazing condition with no flaws that affect the beauty or value, just the normal signs of age you would expect to find on a 125+ year old example. I have done my best to show the Maker's marks, I believe it is German but I am not 100% positive. I am 100% Positive you won't find many like this on the market, especially up for sale with and an opening offer of just $8.50 !
