Up for sale with is an absolutely Stunning Antique American Sterling Silver Centerpiece Bowl. The Bowl is by Durgin or Gorham and is of the finest quality one could hope to find. The Bowl features some of the finest details I have seen including incredible Bows, Flower Swags and Cartouches, which amazingly have never been engraved with a monogram or dedication. The Bowl is fully marked on the bottom for Durgin who was absorbed into Gorham around 1910 and by the exceptional quality I believe it is most likely actually by Gorham, who used the Durgin mark until around 1930. The Bowl is in amazing condition and even still retains most of the original Rich Gold Gilding to the interior which really shows the quality. The Bowl is also a nice large and impressive Centerpiece size measuring9-1/2 inches long by7-1/2 inches wide overall and stands5-1/4 inches tall at the ends. The Bowl is very thick gauge Solid Sterling Silver throughout weighing756 grams and you can really feel the quality in your hands. We sell a lot of Silver here at Joanies Treasures but I don\'t often see pieces of this quality and I am sure it will be a long time before you see another like this up for sale without reserve !
