Presented is an amazing sterling silver bowl. It is clearly hand marked / signed underneath \"J.E. Caldwell & Co New York, Sterling\". We suspect it is an import piece from Europe, hence it was hand marked by this retailer. The design of the bowl is truly European, looks very old German. This bowl is circa mid to late 1800\'s. The bowl is pierced, with high relief repousse fruits in the center and on the sides. Each corner of the bowl has hunting motif animals, including a fish, a rabbit, game birds and a hunting horn. The workmanship is truly stunning. Everything is hand done by hand! Bowl measures 10 3/8\" long x 8.5\" wide x 1 3/4\" high. Made of very thick gauge silver, the bowl weighs 375 grams.
