900 series Turntable Idler wheel rubber perimeter ring.
Brand new production!
These idler wheels were
used by (Rowe-)AMI starting with the
model F in 1954, and the same idler wheel, part # F898, was continued all the way up
through to the last AMI 900 (actually 985 & 990) series mechanism models,
such as the
Continental 1 and Continental 2 (1961/1962).
Anybody who has worked on these AMI jukes knows
that most of the original idler wheels have got rubber rings which are now as
hard as nails, and which have dents and dings in the rubber
where the turntable spindle has been rubbing against the rubber ring
while the turntable was jammed above it all! Getting the correct and constant
45 rpm turntable speed with a clapped-out old idler wheel is impossible!
IMPORTANT NOTE: The last 3 photos, photos numbers 8, 9 and 10, show the correct, and brand new, idler wheel spring to be used on this idler wheel. This spring is not included in the sale of the idler wheel, but is available separately - see our items under AMI idler wheel spring. Just about 100% of the time when you replace the idler wheel rubber, you will also need to replace the idler spring.If you needmore information about this idler wheel, any juke box globes/lamps or needles used in any juke box over the years, please email me on the email address below.
