An Outstanding, Exceptional, Early American Colonial Period Hand Painted \" Lady Liberty\" , Leather Fire Bucket, In Excellent Original Overall Condition !! This is one of the RAREST ,American Fire Buckets that you\'ll ever have a Chance to own. It was made in the Philadelphia , Pa. area ,and was once in a Noted Collection. In those Days, you had to Subscribe to a Certain Fire Company ,and they would give you a Cast Iron \" Fire Mark \",for the Outside of your Home so that they would know on Sight that your Home was theirs to Service ,if it caught on Fire. You would also get a Fire Bucket or Two for the Inside ,Kept filled with Sand to Put out interior Fires, usually kept close to the Fireplace. This Striking Example is in Incredible Surviving Overall Condition, and needs nothing. The Paint is still fairly intact, the Lady Liberty has an American Flag Draped around Her Shoulders. This is a Hand Painted Portrait ,the Rest of the Exterior Paint is PERFECT .It measures 15\" high ,including the Handle ,and it is about 12\" high to the Rim. The Bottom is in as made Condition also. The Hand Sewing is in Excellent Condition, and has NO restoration. This Fire Bucket has an Estimated Shop or Show Value of between 9,500.00 and 13,300.00.
