THIS IS A VINTAGE SILVER LOCKET OF VERY GENEROUS PREPORTIONS, A REAL ‘EYE CATCHING’ ITEM OF ANTIQUE JEWELLERY (See 5 Pence in inset picture for comparisons).
The front has pretty foliate engraving throughout, there\'s a silver top ring with diameter of 4 mm.
The reverse side is machine patterned except at the middle are the full hallmarks for Birmingham 1977.
The chain is marked for sterling silver. It is a strong rope pattern link and will be of the same vintage as the locket.
The locket was fully English Hallmarked for Sterling Silver in Birmingham in 1977, (Lion Passant for Sterling Silver, Anchor for Birmingham assay office and date letter fancy capital italic \'C\' for 1977). Maker\'s mark is \'`J.A.M..\'
THIS IS A FULLY AUTHENTICATED DATED PIECE OF JEWELLERY, A SILVER LOCKET OF 37 YEARS OLD AND IN SUPERB CONDITION TOO!!
Yes, this locket is in EXCELLENT condition, there are no dints, indents, bumps or scratches, indeed no blemishes at all, lovely polished ex workshop condition.Chain is perfect too.
This locket will offer the new owner many more yearssafeguarding your most treasured keepsake or photographs. The hinge is sound and firm, the locket opens easily and shuts well with a reassuring “click”. Inside the locket has blue card insets and THICK Perspex covers, there is a pull out retaining picture mount to the right side. (just put your pictures over blue card and replace perspex cover). The locket is firm to the press being made of a thick gage of silver, there is no buckle effect at all when pressed.
