All the proper 1st Edition points noted; Copyright page with proper LOC number and NO mention of later printings, and NO book club edition slug to back board of covers (this book was picked as a book of the month club selection so MOST copies offered are misidentified club editions. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL and a very SCARCE book in the true first printing.) The Franklin leather reprints of this go for hundreds of dollars, and Ahearn had these valued at $500 back in the early 2000\'s. Offering this here at a much better price!

A VERY GOOD+ book in a VERY GOOD- jacket. The book is clean, square and sound with just a hint ofshelf wear to board edges/ text block edges (see pictures) and a TINYabrasion to the ffep where a small paper price sticker was removed. Otherwise NO owner marks, names, plates, inscriptions, underlining, remainders etc... A really lovely copy that looks great, just not quite crisp enough to grade higher. The jacket has light overall staining/toning with chip/tears to edges/folds (see pictures). Overall a decent looking example of this scarce book with the original book price UNCLIPPED and present at $4.50. Greatopportunity to own this classic!Priced to sell.
