AS A MARK OF APPRECIATION OF SERVICE IN THE
GREAT WAR 1914-1918

This is one of the rarest and most famous of Canadian World War One Medals of Tribute.
The EATON\'S MOTOR MACHINE GUN BATTERY was mobilized January 1, 1915 under the patronage of Sir John and arrived in England in June 1915.

In France it was first part of the 3rd Canadian Division.
Later it was part of the FIRST CANADIAN MOTOR MACHINE GUN BRIGADE D BATTERY.

Throughout the war troops were allowed to wear their own distinctive badges.
Finally the battery became B BATTERY in the SECOND CANADIAN MOTOR MACHINE GUN BRIGADE.

This antique medal is in excellent condition and has no serious surface scratches or dings(seephotos).
