I RECENTLY ACQUIRED A SMALL ESTATE COLLECTION OF SEVERAL PAIR OF ANTIQUE GLASSES, ALL FROM 1750-1910 ERA! LISTED FOR sale TODAY IS A WONDERFUL PAIR OF CIVIL WAR EAR SPECTACLES. THEY ARE UN-MARKED, WEIGH APPROXIMATELY 19.4 GRAMS AND MEASURE ABOUT 4 3/8\" ACROSS THE FRONT. EACH RECTANGULAR BLUE GLASS LENS MEASURES ABOUT 5/8\" X 1 1/8\". FRAMED IN BRASS WITH REMNANTS OF A SILVER WASH, THE NOSE BRIDGE MEASURES ABOUT 5/8\". EACH ARE MEASURES ABOUT 4\" WITH AN ADDITIONAL 2 1/2\" SLIDING ARM. BOTH HINGES ARE TIGHT AND EACH ARM EXTENSION WORKS. THE BLUE LENS HAVE BEVELED EDGES AND DO HAVE A FEW EDGE CHIPS, ALL IN THE FROSTED EDGES, PERHAPS HAPPENED WHEN THEY WERE PUT INTO THE FRAMES.
