This antique original cabinet card was from a collection of my great grandmother. Photo by noted Nashville, Tennessee photographer C. C. Giers (Carl C. Giers), 43 and 44 Union Street. Marked on reverse. Condition is excellent.
The mother is seated and her two young sons are standing on either side. She is elegantly dressed in an 1860s period style costume with separate stole. Her bonnet style hat, with veil is supported by wide satin ribbons tied under her chin. Her jewelry is a pair of dangle earrings. Both sons are wearing jackets and trousers. The older son is wearing boot style shoes. The young brothers appears to be wearing laced shoes.
Condition: Excellent. Clean sharp images. No stains, damage or paper loss to front or back. No damage to corners.
