This Hardback cloth covered book has some wear including some minor fraying to the cloth on the edges.The paper covering the binding inside is cracked at the front cover but still attached and unnoticeable on the outside. The cloth is still whole. Simply put- the book is in one piece. It still handles well with appropriate care. You should place it on a table to read it because of the weight. Inside the original owner signed in eloquent script c.1890. The pages are all intact. They show normal yellowing and foxing and spotting but overall pretty clean. This is a beautiful book that presents extremely well. Check the photos and see for yourself - if you buy it as a gift you might have a hard time parting with it.
