Up for the sale is a beautiful antique end of the 18th/ beginning of the 19th century Chinese wood statue of Buddha carved in Ming dynasty style and bearing Wanly mark on the back (see pictures).

Very finely detailed piece- just look at the pictures!

The statue has gilt painted decorations.

The figure is tall and pretty heavy: it measures 25 2/8\" (64 cm) high x approx. 7.5\" (19 cm) wide. Weighs 11.5 lb (5180 g).

Condition:good antique condition overall with some loss to the gilt; a crack on the front surface(not deep- see pictures) and a small crack on the back surface near the bottom.
