Description:

Aunusual antique solid silver tumbler cup, gilt lined with a curled lip, probably originating from Northern Germany or perhaps Scandinavia and dating to the late 18th,early 19th Century. The cup is a regular concave shape of planished silver, rounded to the bottom, and slightly weighted so that it easily sits upright. The underside is engraved with the initials \'PR\'.

The gilt washed interior is clean, and there is a mark to the side of the cup to indicate silver, as yet unidentified.
