Gorgeous early England pottery from Royal Doulton circa 1909 with the earliest Isaac Walton Ware mark clearly detailed on the base bottom. What a great Fathers Day gift for the vintage sport fishing collector! Fabulous portraits of what is referred to as the \"Gallant Fisherman\" surround the piece...Fisherman with wooden leg; profiled man with face outward, flat hat and pole on left shoulder; man with spectacles, rod under arm and hand in pocket. All of these are bordered at the top rim with the Willow Tree border. The piece further carries the Isaac Walton 1800\'s prose from The Complete Angler...Behold the Fisherman...with words that will touch the heart of anyone who enjoys fishing or has a fisherman in the family. Artist signed Noke on the side of the piece. Colors are still vivid...no chips, cracks or hairlines.We do have minor age crazing as would be expected for it\'s age...usage shelf wear on the base bottom rim edge...nothing major or that detracts from display. Measures in at about 6 & 1/2\" tall.Ask questions if you have them...will be carefully packed and shipped promptly upon confirmation of your payment.
