Offered for sale is a fine 19th centuryantique bronze cow figure from Nepal.

From western Nepal around the hill town ofJajarkot originated many of these primitive bronze figures.

They wereassociated with the practice of shamanism and were largely donated to temples

where shamans exercised as much influence as priests.
