Antique 19thc Large Parian Bust of CharlesDickens c1865

A really fine quality Parian bust of CharlesDickens standing 12 inches high.

He measures 9 inches across the shoulders.

Very well modelled with particularly finedetail, the Parian itself being of a very high quality.

The hair and beard are very well defined as ishis jacket and waistcoat.

The Parian is very smooth, creamy and tactile.

The condition is very good with just a chip onthe back corner of the base. This bust would originally had a separate Parian soclebase which is now sadly missing.A plaster replacement socle as shown in the photo is available if required.

Although unmarked as to manufacture (apartfrom having DICKENS impressed on the plinth) it may well be by Robinson andLeadbeater (early Robinson and Leadbeater was seldom marked)

A super bust it displaysvery well indeed.
