Guaranteed to be original and as described -- Antique 19th century mid to late 1800\'s Russian 84 Silver... Caucasian / Armenian and or Turkish Ottoman belt with buckle. The silver is superbly decorated with black niello decoration and gold gilt on the silver as well. The belt is hand chased and engraved and the detail is exquisite. This superb silver belt weighs 11 ounces total... and the back of each link is hallmarked \" 84 \" for .870 Russian silver with a unidentified makers mark....(See photos).....SIZE: 33 1/2 inches long by the buckle measure about 3/4 of an inch wide...CONDITION: The conditionis fine...is in nice condition for the age. The leather band that holds the links together is torn in a few places from age...in between a few of the links. It appears that this possibly is the original leather strap that the belt was assembled with from when the time that this was made..over a hundred years ago. The leather has a musty smell from age as this was literally in a attic for a long,long time in storage.
