Antique 20th Century German Solid Silver richly gilt and profusely enamelled jewellery box, of rectangular form, the sides and the hinged cover are applied with an intricate silver filigree decoration, with cloisonne shaded enamel and hand-painted enamel cabochones. The box opens pushing the hidden flower-shaped button and reveals a velvet lined interior, perfect to hold jewellery.
The box is extremely decorative and in excellent condition, the base is stamped "H NEVIR", with a German pseudo-mark, for Henry Louis Nevir, active in Berlin from 1822 until 1869. The silver has been acid tested and shows a 800+ standard.
