Description:
A large antique late 19th Century Victorian solid silver mounted crocodile skin gentleman\'s wallet, with superb tan leather interior incorporating a pocket each side for cards, or paper money and stamps. The wallet opens using the push button to the side.
The front of the wallet is hallmarked to each corner:
Makers Mark: L.K for Ludwig Krumm
Silvergrade:Lion passantfor .925or 92.5% silver
Assay office: Birmingham
Date: (z) 1899
The remaining internal metal mounts are not silver.
Inside the wallet is inscribed the details of a previous owner: Alan Wardrop, 39 Threadneedle Street, London, EC, dated 25th December 1900 - a wonderful Christmas gift!

Length:14 cm or5 1/2inch
Condition:
In good antique condition, with wear commensurate with age. The button catch works well. Internally clean with some minor deterioration to the leather within the folds. The crocodile skin on the reverse side has worn to the top and bottom edges. Please see the images provided which complement this description.
