Antique 20th Century Edwardian solid silver four piece tea set on a tray, comprising of hot water jug, teapot, and richly parcel gilt sugar bowl and milk jug. The set is of oval plain form, each piece engraved with neo-classical decorations, the original tray also engraved with a memorial inscription: \"Presented to Edward Thompson by Messrs Lambton & Co in appreciation of forty years valued service 1866-1906\".
The complete set comes in the original fitted wooden box, the cover also bearing an engraved plaque bearing the same memorial inscription.
All parts are fully Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, the tray and the sugar bowl year 1905 (k), all the other parts year 1904 (i), Maker\'s mark T.A.R F.J.L C.L.R (Reid & Sons). Each base is also stamped with the retailer\'s mark \"Reid & Sons Newcastle on Tyne\".

In Great Condition - no damage, just general wear.
