[phone removed by Payment & ShippingDescriptionAntique 20th Century German Solid Silver large box, of typical rectangular form perfect to be used as cigar or jewellery box, parcel gilt, the body and the hinged cover are chased and embossed with rustic scenes of peasants merry-making, in the style of the 17th century Dutch painter David Teniers surrounded by scrolling foliage, very popular on 18th century Dutch silver. The base is engraved with conjoined initials.
The base has rubbed German pseudo marks for the important silver manufacturer Neresheimer & Co, both parts are also Hallmarked English import silver (925 standard), Chester, year 1902 (B), Maker\'s mark BM (Berthold Muller).
