Gorgeous antique Art Deco cedar chest / hope chest / blanket trunk made by the famous LANE furniture company Altavista, VA. EXCELLENT CONDITION!! Art Deco Waterfall design style. Chest dates back to the 1920\'s. Interior has sliding, removeable tray. Chest still smells like cedar. Bracket feet at bottom. Beautiful inlayed wood detail on front and top. Trunk retains it\'s original finish. Excellent condition for it\'s age ~ only two 1\" wide areas of veneer noted as losses on left side of top. All original paperwork comes with chest. See note below regarding the recalled lock mechanism.
**NOTE: LANE furniture company has had a recall on all locking mechanisms for their cedar chests. I have contacted the company and was sent a new safety lock for the chest. OLD LOCK HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW LOCK FROM LANE FUR
