We are offering a circa 1900 beaded bag.
The flowers are a deep maroon, with lighter rose and white beads. The main background are in different colored greens.
The metal is German Silver, and as is the case, unpolished and has turned a darker color.
The beading is intact and the condition is Very good. I have looked and not seen any parts missing.
The inside is a tan suede. And this part is not intact, although it can be carried out to a social event.
The inside metal frame part is marked GERMAN SILVER with a small mark above that. It also has the original owners name in cursive C. ( or G) Luehing.
I have owned this purse for over 40 years and have always kept it away from light and perfectly wrapped.
It really is quite a beautiful design and the colors are lush.
Size - 71/2\" at the widest point, purse-frame-clasp = 6\" Approx.
