ANTIQUE C1890 RARE PIPE BRIAR & GLASS water filtered SHISHA CASED A scarce pipe in its original case / etui and in lovely condition. A water filtered pipe having a briar bowl, a fine glass filter bowl with fine cane / rattan protection in excellent order and mouthpiece. Lovely to find the pipe complete and with the glass intact, as its a fragile piece and few have survived the ravages of time. The cork joints between the briar bowl and glass reservoir, and reservoir and mouthpiece are warn. It comes in its original etui / case silk lined. For scale the etui Measuring approx 6 1/4 inches long and the pipe when all together about 8 inches long. So the pipe would work in interesting fashion, rather similar to a shisha pipe, in that the inhaled smoke is drawn / filtered through water stored in the glass bowl underneath, and then out through the mouthpiece as normal.........all as per the images.
